Transmissiom Interchange

I am a newbee, so please bear with me. Will a 5 spd trans from a 1991 F250 w/6.9 fit in a 1984 F250 w/6.9.

yes, but a 91 f250 should have a 7.3 in it.

all the ford idi engines have same bellhousing pattern.

91's shoud have a 7.3 like diesel crawler said the only thing i a 7.3 is a borded out 6.9 bell housing bolts and patterns are the same
