my idi has a banks sidewinder non-waistgated turbo. And I hate it. I have to rev the **** out of my truck to make more than 2-4 psi and in the city it will only register 1-2 pounds of boost. Towing is a joke because the turbo takes so long to lite that I vet honks and the bird. I love my truck and once the turbo is lit it's a trq monster. I've inspected my turbo and it's in mint condition. No play in the shaft blades all there etc. But I was wondering if buying a holset h1c ( comes off munaul 12v cummins) would be worth it. I Would set the waistgate at 10psi but I would make 10 lbs almost instantly. I have a holset hx35 on my BMW and love it so I figure for 140$ I'd put one on my idi. Let me know if it's worth it. I'm running a holset in mine. It's an he351ve tho...I love it...what size turbine housing is hc1?

 

They made 2 one has a 50 and the other 56. I'm not sure which it is but either way I figure it a vast improvement overthe Mitsubishi one banks uses. Eventually I'm going to build a motor like nmb2 and the other dudes on PSN. I think a 350hp idi will be a good tow rig and the h1c won't break till 30+ psi so it would be a turbo I could use on multiple set ups
