Default Questions about 6.7's

Looking into buyin a 6.7 not real sure about them. If I get one only mods that will be done is egr/dpf delete with smarty to clear codes, 5" mbrp tbe, fass titanium 150, gauges, CAI and dual disk clutch. Was wondering how this setup would work? I've heard the 6.7 have weak head gaskets. Any feed back would greatly appreciated. Thanks

That setup will be great but fair warning the power is addictive that's about where I said I'd stop too. Also the reason our heads gaskets are "weaker" is there's more cylinder pressure due to bigger bore and longer stroke and there's less material between the bores. Kind like the difference between a 350 and 383 stroker I'd rather have the 383 just about any day.

Thanks for the input. Will it hold or would it be better to go ahead and get studs?

Really this all depends on end user and his driving style ,but it never hurts to be a little too cautous rather than not cautious enough

I did all of the above to mine and couldn't be happier. The 6.7 is a powerhouse.

Depending on if you're running the s06 or the smarty jr, and how much power you're pumping to it, the head gasket could hold forever, and could go in 5000 miles, every truck is different, run it and see how it pans out for you, if the head gasket goes, then id say its time to do studs.

That set up will work fine but power upgrades are like tattoos, one is never enough. The studs is a good investment and go with the better ones (arp 624?) it can be a real saver in the long run.
