Default Smarty Program

I have a 2008 Dodge 2500 Mega Cab 6.7 Cummins. I have been informed that a program written by Smarty Programs exists that can bypass the extra injection cycle Dodge uses to avoid the EGR requirement. Can anybody help me on this. As a sidelite, I have fabricated an under the hood mount for a Filtration Solutions FS-2500 filter that allows you to use the oil cap as the return route. The filter mounts on the left front of the engine just below the oil dipstick, not under the fender as the factory kit does. If anyone wants a picture drop me a note.

Also, want to know how to be able to raise or lower your windows without your ignition key on?, write me, one cut and one jumper in the driver's door control panel.

Tired of the annoying buzzer that keeps telling you your seat belt is not connected, got a fix for that also - I hate annoying buzzers.

I'd be interested in your mount for the FS2500. We do offer a oil cap return kit, as well as an engine compartment mount, but we can always improve. Send some pics to me if you have em. PM me for email.

Can you just put up a write up on how to do it? That is how the site will grow!

Thanks!

i have been in touch with the Mads Electronics "Smarty". I got answer back from them that by the end of this summer, they will release the Smarty for Cummins 6.7L version.

I have a Smarty for my Cummins 5.9L; and loving it. That is the only one that do not place a signature on the ECM. Hope that still be true for the 6.7 version.

I contacted them again. They had to wait for Cummins to release their new upgrade to the ECM before Mads Electronics could modify their Smarty for 6.7L release. I assume it will take few more weeks!

Or do like I did and tell the dealer to turn it off before I drive it, problem solved. It's a simple programing change to turn off the buzz.

Owners manual tell you how to turn that off. It is a series of controls, same deal as resetting the change oil message on the overhead.
