Instead of deleting posts that may explain to these dill-weeds what we actually try and accomplish by building an engine that produces higher HP with limited or no smoke, why dont you look at deleting the posts asking these retarded questions???

Give me a solid reason to NOT attack these pukes...all they do is garner bad publicity for our hobby and the diesel industry as a whole. If you see a benefit to 'rolling coal' outside of a truck pull or drag strip then inform us...maybe we are missing something...
Well, my guess is they come on here to learn number 1. If they really knew about diesels they wouldn't have to ask how to make it smoke now would they! I'm sure there are diesel owners who knew everything about diesels when they bought their first one but I'm guessing there are even more who didn't. So instead of everyone jumping on them why don't we just give some true answers and tell them why smoke isn't really the thing you want to do with your list of reasons. I think this could be done without all the name calling. Then again I guess that's what people behind a keyboard internet like to do to each other

I guess everyone attacking this guy knew everything about diesels before they even got into the game...

Yes, the smoking question gets asked a lot. Honestly, if you're not on the forums much, how would you know the "stance" that the community has taken against black smoke? It's not like this has been going on for years and years, maybe the past two years this has been a "movement." Some tuners used to write smoke tunes for crying out loud. Just explain to the guy that smoke has become "uncool" in the community because of the black eye it gives us. But explain it in a way that he will actually listen. You jump down his throat and he's not going to listen.

Guys...

Your both missing the point, and arent reading the ENTIRE thread (or multiple threads in this case). Most of these guys that ask the stupid questions regarding, smoke, rollin coal, smoke switches etc ARE given a quick polite explanation of how 'most' feel it is wrong, how it does not display the attitudes of most diesel owners, and actually indicates as issue of some sort, ie not enough air, too much fuel, dirty air cleaner, etc....

Its AFTER these initial comments that many of these dipsticks, blather on, and carry on, and say 'Oh ya I get that but...' and they STILL want to make smoke, and ask over and over how to do it....THATS when they do and should get attacked...So take some time, go back and read the entire thread and THEN make your comments...

And Jazz...I dont just do it from behind a keyboard...you know that...

Your right, I apologize. I went back and read the first page starting with the second post. Quick polite explanations

And this one thread has nothing to do with all the other multiple threads that have asked the same question. Someone else started those. Not this guy.

You make a good point, and you are right, I guess we shouldnt paint all the dopes with the same brush, I think it just gets real old if you are actually here trying to get ideas about new technology, new ideas and such, and the bulk of the new posts refer to 'smokin'. Maybe those of us that dont agree with this should try and bypass those threads, but man its hard LOL.

Maybe there should be a 'special' section related to how to make your diesel less efficient then we could at least keep all the dopey posts confined to one area....yes I am just jokin...sorta.

Thanks Jazz, I will try and refrain from speaking my mind in the future, there seems to be lots of other guys that will take up the position for me haha. And thanks for the replys, its nice to see some staffers getting involved!

when a truck smokes, it makes all the green thumb people start talking and then government founded programs (that we pay for ) put restrictions on car companys.

just for facts.

look under a 93 dodge, them go look under one from 2012.

if the younger crowed would like to smoke there little hearts out, then by all means do so, but I do ask one thing, GO VOTE, so that we dont have to keep paying for someone to tell me that we are going into global warming, err I mean climate change.

POOR POLAR BEARS.
