Default DPF FULL??

hey there my fellow diesel buds.. I have an 2008 6.7 manual.. I just installed a CAI, flo-pro 4in DPF delete pipe, and the Edge with attitude. the first day the truck ran sick!! night and day difference. but then not to will longer the lil message center was saying dpf 70 percent regen now.. wouldnt regen. now its saying dpf full and its in limp mode but still drivable. just doesnt pull as hard.. is there a back door to edge to delete that or what do i need to do to trick it?? any info will be awesome..

i never ran an edge on a 6.7 but i believe you need to set it to clear codes on startup and then run 100 ohm resistors off your 02 sensors so the truck doesnt try to regen. but definitely try clearing your codes im sure someone will come along running a smarty here in a few minutes

edge will not do deletes and wont clear the codes set buy the deleting. Get a smarty or h&s and use the edge for gauges or ditch it and buy a good programer. I had the edge first and thought it sucked besides changing on the fly and gauges.

so will a smarty jr tuner take care of the deletes.. i enjoy the on-the-fly setting and the gauges.. would be more like "compound" tuning?

Yes smarty jr would solve your problem. Your meaning stacking them together. Ya you can i wouldnt turn the edge up though . I had mine like that for a while always left the edge on stock tune and just used for gauges. Tuned with the smarty. Then i just sold the edge and bought gauges.

if you use the H&S you wont have to leave the egr plugged in zip tied under the hood you can remove it or you can wait a couple more weeks and efi should have the dtc folders out

i drove my truck for a long time w/o the egr plugged in. theni read somewhere it was suppose to be plugged in so i did and made no difference. im not argueing the point cause smarty says it needs to be there. but thats from my experience with my truck.

yeah thats what i was meaning was smarty saying you have to leave the egr plugged in and i have seen a egr code from unhooking it and with EFI there is no need for "stacking" because it can program correctly to the safe limits of the engine and it also allows for tuning of the VG turbo and transmission tuning without having to pay extra for an unlock code

stacking downloaders and chips that both do the same thing ie smarty and edge both do injection pulse width can push the parameters into the ecm limiters
