Default New tuner/New truck 2008

Since the tuner and delete, Its like a new truck. No Xtra oil in the crankcase. My question is, do i have to leave the tuner connected or can I unplug it and keep it in the glove box? Im running it with no additional power so there shouldnt be anything to monitor. Has anyone done the trans program, Is it worth the $300?

I'd bet H&S XRT Pro way he's talking. if so just upload and put in glove box. Smarty is same way except I don't think it has transmission tuning.
