Default The More advice the better.

I have an 08 stock. I am on a limited budget of $800. I am wondering what is the best way to go to get a little power, less than 100hp and get better fuel mileage. There are so many tuner options out there it makes my head spin. What is the best application for my needs????? I am open to any opinions from you guys because you guys know what you are talking about. Also where is the best place to purchase a tuner??? Hope to get alot of feedback.

Keep saving and get a 5" TBE and an H&S minimaxx with egr delete. You'll get your HP, MPG, and it will pay for itself over time depending on how much you drive. I figured it out once and it was around 35 tanks, for me. My MPG went up by about 50%. I was getting 11 in town 15 hwy and am at 16 and 22 now. So for every 3 dollar gallon i save about a buck, higher price of fuel equals quicker payback. In 35 tanks I would save 1295 bucks. Unfortunatly you can't break it up and buy one item at a time and use them seperatly.

When towing 12000lbs I really gained alot, i get 16-19 wind and topo dependant.

What about the dpf delete? And you are getting 16-19 pulling 12000 lbs trailer? Is that calculated or OBD?? I find the obd can be way off. Ok I have to hurt my bank account now. And duh.. 5"tbe means you did the dpf delete.

when you buy exhaust im almost positive you can run 5.9 exhaust and save some $$$ as long as you have sims to kill the regen or get a tuner. and there are ways you can run code free w/o a tuner if you want exhaust and no tuner to start off with exhaust is a big time help and also there are some ppl making just a replacement peice that goes in place of dpf cat and exhaust which saves some money but you still have the resinator on the down pipe .. i like my smarty get good mpgs also

Get the Smarty Jr, and just pick up a piece of exhaust pipe from Napa or some place to do the delete. Cost on the pipe is less than 40 bucks, and the stock exhaust is fine until you start pushing alot of power.

Then you can save the moeny for other stuff down the road.
