Default EGR cooler

07.5 6.7 CTD I have read alot about EGR delete/removal, but not much about the EGR cooler. Does it make any difference if its blocked off or removed ? Secondly..... would a mild mod with the xrt require a fuel rail plug/shim kit ?

Removing the cooler just cleans up the engine compartment and gets rid of dead weight. If your not going to have to hook it back up I would remove it. Not sure on the xrt you could always put a rail pressure gauge on it nice to have and see if the pressure drops.
