Default Black Max vs. Mini Max

I am trying to decide which programmer to get for my 08 6.7 6-speed. I am getting 5 in turbo back straight pipe kit, was going to get the Smarty 067 but now im considering either the Mini Max or the Black Max because they seem to be able to do alot more and on the fly tuning sounds good. Im not sure what the difference is between the two except for the size! Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time, Brian.

The Blackmaxx and the minimaxx are identical. The only difference is the size of the monitor and the price of the units. For taking care of the dpf bull crap on these years of truck the hs performance stuff is awesome.

Default did mini max yesterday with 5" turbo back

Did mine yesterday, i went with mini max. when i first saw it i was worried about the size. but after mounting it in the truck i am happy it isn't any bigger. the screen seems small but it is crystal clear even for the 4 peramiters that are monitored on the side of the screen.

any install questions give me a shout.

So.........update me on how you like your truck now! I've got an 09 6.7l about to do a delete and thinking of the minimaxx myself. Let me know what you think of your set up. Sounds real similar to what I want to do.

I love it, since I did the deletes my check engine light has never been on. Fuel mileage was 15-16 empty, and know it is 18-21 depending on how much highway driving I do. Ive put over 10,000 miles since and never looked back! I got the truck with 28,000 on it with in the first week the engine light came on so i took it to the dealer and they said the variable ring inside the turbo was seized up from all the soot so they replaced it. I noticed an oil leak that day coming from the input shaft seal yeah it got on my clutch, but warranty covered a new clutch, it took them a week to fix it though! After that all happened I decided I was done with dealers and the engine light, So I ordered the deletes (on the assumption my warranty would be void, but dont care I'll fix it myself from now on!) It was all easy to install, and I love the Mini Max! If you have any other questions feel free to ask, Brian

Thanks man. I've made up my mind. Minimaxx it is. I'm going to do the 5" turbo back exhaust w/muffler and egr/cooler delete. My truck has been in the shop 6 times all related to dpf/egr, sensors, turbo, pcm, etc. I'm done with the BS. I cannot wait to place my order. I've got some bids coming in now on my equipment and should have it on in the two weeks hopefully. Thanks for the tips and I'll let you know how it goes.
Jason
