well i was the prototype for the kit not using the stock turbo i was only the third truck to have have purchased a kit from cody....he had to have the truck to mock up the whole kit.. he had it for two weeks and put a new head gasket in while he had it.....i ended up with about 7500 in everything....it was a lil more because all of the custom work he head to do to put the 62mm on....i love the kit deff worth the money plus it looks a shit ton cooler under the hood than anyother compound kit out there:tu: best investment in the truck

what turbos are used? i am assuming the 62 is the high pressure turbo, and what was it stacked with:rocking:
and how are your egt's and drive pressure?

what does a drive psi gauge cost and how hard is the install im thinking mine might be on the high side causeing the head gasket problems:argh:

for the installation, do it with the truck idling and put a little grease on you drill bit. the exhaust pressure and grease will keep the metal shavings out of your turbo. then tap the manifold with your engine running and screw the pipe fitting in...:tu:

i drilled my plates and hooked up a gauge to check drive pressure. 1 to 1 is about 24 lb. i put allen head bolts in and i have not had any trouble since spring. i got a waste gate that we sell to put on mine. i think since we have egr blocked the turbo cant waste gate. exhaust brake will pop waste gate open for a split sec. i really think either another turbo or a waste gate is the answer.

brk126 08-06-2010 01:56 AM

it uses precison turbos and my drive pressure is about 65psi at 55psi boost

Hey guys just got me a 2008 ram 3500 with the 6.7 has 185,000 miles on it had it for a week and the turbo locked up on me and I just replaced it and now it's showing its overheating but it doesn't smell hot nor is it overflowing out of the resivor it's been deleted and it has the smarty with catcher programmer on it and it's only on a 90hp tune the water pump got replaced a couple months before I got it and I took the thermostat out and made sure it worked in hot water... May it be the tuner on it or what? I'm lost on where to look now
