Default 6.7 Again

Dang didnt think it would be this bad. How about some ideas for this 6.7 I got. Anything. Even some if I had that this is what i'd try ideas. Not trying to race. Just want something that'll pull damn near anything I hook to and if someone wants to play I can hand em their a** or give em a good run for sure. I know me I say nothing too extreme but, that never works. My girl drives it the most so i am hoping that keeps me from goin completely nuts with mods. Of course if anyone hears or sees something good let me know please. i dont wanna tryin a bunch of crap combos that will not work. I am very new to diesel performance so I dont even know most of the terms and what to watch for. Thanx guys if i try something I'll definetly post it.

Start with gages and exhaust, it doesn't add that much power but will allow you to keep an eye on things and will be beneficial down the road when you go to the extreme.

edge and bully dog make downloaders/programmers. mbrp makes an exhaust kit. i don't know how you'd do stacks and keep the DPF.

my advice to you is wait. companies already ready have "offroad" only tunes out for the fords. i'm sure that there's something in the pipes for the cummins. the offroad only tune will allow you to delete the DPF which will open the flood gates on a lot of other stuff.

Thank you. DPF? im sure it will make perfect sense once you say it. I'm sure "particulate" is in there. I will check out the MBRP's. I am guessing I should stay in the 4 inch diameter? 4 inch duals or should I go 5 Inch single. I have a guy who could make it if I can"t find it.

Diesel Particulate Filter.

it's a big clusterf*** at the rear of your exhaust system. it's designed to trap all the soot. your PCM monitors it's "fullness" and goes into regeneration mode to clean it out. it's not something that you can just remove. it has sensors. the PCM needs info from these sensors and if they're not there you'll have some big problems. that's why i was saying stacks probably won't work....yet. like i said, just be patient a little bit. there's stuff coming.

Cool 07.5 6.7 trouble lights & ???'s

Hi, I'm new to the forum I have an 07.5 3500 SLT cab & chassis dump truck. 6.7 w/exh brake 6spd auto. I have taken out the silencer in the intake tube before the turbo and my muffler has somehow disappeared I live in Vermont and I've been to the dealer twice now 1st. @300 miles 2nd. @1500 miles 1st was for an electric throtle control light, they said the reason was that you can't have your foot on the gas and the brake @ the same time(we were backing up a steep driveway/hill to an excavator for loading and were inching under the bucket) or it will throw this light and when it does the second you push the pedal it will start to move and then goes to an idle, they reset and all seems fine so far but I don't know how it will work when I'm plowing? The 2nd. time was for an emisions light (it looks like a lit up engine in the dash) and that was diagnosed as a dead EGT sensor they ordered a new one and all seems fine since Monday. Here's the ? I read elsewhere on this site that the cab @ chassis trucks don't have the DPF and that they have differfent emisions from the p/u's True or false? I have a huge pile of poo before where the muffler was that has tubes that run back up to the engine but I don't have anything after that? I'm getting around
13mpg if I'm not hauling anything, I was 10.9-11 with a 16,000 lb. excavator in tow. What can I do for a programer that will be safe when plowing/sanding I keep 2yrds. of sand in the hopper all the time. Edge w/attitude seems to look good do to the alerts and safety features as well as having built in gauges. sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any advice.

I've had problems from Edge in a major degree on a LMM and a 6.7! For right now i would be very careful about what I used on an emmisions truck! We have to remember for daily drivers its not the best idea to delete the DPF or any emmision equipment, It can cause alot of headaches in legal and inspection ways! If I was going to use somthing on a truck, is would be a MP-8 or a Smarty which should be out soon!
