Default 4" or 5" exhaust?

My father inlaw bought an 08 dodge 6.7!!! So excited!!! He had to take it to the dealership the other day because of a boost senser. The guy at the dealership sayd it needed to do a regen. Well the light still on so he wants to get rid of that crap so we are looking at an egr delete dpf delete and a smarty tuner!! To delete the dpf we are just going to go with an aftermarket exhaust and my ? is which do yall like better? I have seen alot of guys putting the 5" exhausts on the 6.7s and was wondering if they sound better than a 4"? Is there any real performance gain over a 4"? Which sounds better?? Thanks guys!

The sound between the two are very comparable. I've stood next to both and if it was not for the larger diameter of the 5 inch pipe hanging out the rear, I wouldn't have known better.

No big performance gains between the two either on a mildly modified truck.

the sound is mostly in if you use a muffler or straight pipe 4 inch looks stock 5 inch is most definitely not.
