Exhaust Disappointment
Buddy removed his DPF and muffler from his 08 and the truck still isn't any louder than it was stock. If you are wanting raw sound, straight-piping the entire exhaust (cat, dpf, muffler) is basically the only answer, but then you'll have to put up with the constant drone inside the cab.

I did that took it all off. And the truck still isn't much louder than it was stock. I still can not here it when i drive down the road
Yes they are that expensive Mopar Before i did the delete mine was plugged so bad it would not regenerate. Took it in the dealer put a new one on under warrenty 2500 bucks. Took the truck home and took it right back off. Now I got a new DPF paperweight in my garage.
You may try removing the Cat. or the first Cat, or both. That may help the sound. I don't know how the DPF will like it though as it is designed for use with a Cat. Um, you can't bypass it without throwing a code. The only way to do that would be drill it out with a hole saw, or pipe around it. If you do either, remember basic laws of piping and air flow, fluid follows the path of least resistance. You will have essentially no pressure drop through your by-pass and a huge HEPA filter essentially on the other path. Nothing is going to flow that direction. Once you do that your sensors will see there is no flow and I assume will do something not good. Same as unplugging your sensors. May as well delete the pipe.
For sounds you are pretty much limited to only your stock sound. I think you don't get that nice turbo whine is the Variable Geometric Turbo is just not wrapped up for the most part.
Straight Pipe it. all of it. Then you'll hear it. And get better fuel mileage
