6.7 forged rods?
Does anyone out there offer a forged connecting rod for the 6.7? I have big plans/dreams of getting into the 850-900 hp range
and have heard that the stock 6.7 rods are powdered and only good for about 700-800 hp
Thanks in advance

dodgeram082500, It turns out you are right
I did a lot of research and i guess you can either do a 12v rod and have them shot-peened or use an aftermarket forged 5.9 rod
either one should hol 1000+hp

Also heard you can put A 24V 5.9L head on top of the 6.7 Think the only guys doin that are sled pullers though.. Will have A look for the discussion I had seen on it.. Can't even rightly remember what advantage they were crediting to it. Found it.. Is titled Can You?. The aim wasn't for the 24V.. It was for the 12V head. Cause of the ability for larger valves.

Depends on the fueling rate of the injectors. Bigger displacement, More room for fuel air.. More, More, More... With the larger valve ability into the 6.7. With .8 more displacement. I doubt stock 5.9 injectors are gonna be adequate for the desired fuel rate. Maybe they have A wide enough corridor but unlikely. Haven't done any digging into it as far as how much fuel at what pressure on the 12V. But my 09 6.7 hits over 27000PSI on the fuel when I am rolling into it. And am thinking it fires A fair amount more fuel at it then the 5.9 ever did. I don't know this for sure but it is my suspicion.

I just acquired 2 sets of 5.9 rods, I was told by a very reliable source, use from 98-2002 cummins only, he said that there are some powder crap on the 03's not all but a certain few. They are not hard to find that's for sure.. and helluva lot cheaper than buying new ones..
