Default smarty with shuddering shift

i just pu my 5 inch exhaust on loaded the smarty with the me software and now when i am driving my truck starts shuddering when the tc is trying to lock up i think. its usually around 45 mph i think. is there a way to fix this? i am running on level 1. if i let off the throttle it stops but last night i had it happen 3 times in about a mile its driving me nuts.

How many miles are on the truck, is that the first thing that has been put on the truck? That is usually a sign of bad things to come. You will most likely have to replace the tourque convertor if it is doing what you say.

I wouldn't think it would be doing that with only 6700 miles on the truck. Try a different setting and see what it does.

Doesn't sound good, I recommend get a line pressure booster if you can't afford a new transmission.. save up , thats the way I burnt mine up..

Double ought... Have you checked your tranny fluid? Is it where it needs to be? Does it smell burnt. Or look discolored? After you have been running it and had this happen pull over, pull the dipstick and see if there are air bubbles in the fluid. Could be you have A crap TRQ Converter. But the problem could be A pressure issue as Juanjo is suggesting or A partially blocked valve in the valve body. Also how deep into the throttle are you when this happens? Is it every time or just when you are deep into it? The torque converter lock up would be engaging on other shifts so should happen in other gears. Sounds more like A clutch pack, Or engagement issue for that gear. Hope this helps..

Rhino.
