Default Banks Cold air intake?

Has anyone put a banks cold air intake on a 6.7 yet? Also does it throw any codes? Also how is the performance? Is it worth the money?

Thanks

Shouldn't throw any codes. You will definitely need to put one if you plan on doing performance. But more air = better combusiton = more power and better performance. Banks makes a pretty good air intake but IMO you are paying for the name which is true for any product i suppose. As long as it doesnt void your warranty or throw codes. There are others on here that know more than me. Someone should help you soon. Its up to you but it cant hurt to add more air. Never does

There was one guy that said he was having code issues after installing it. That kind of worried me, so I kept looking around.

I ended up with an s&b intake. It should be here tomorrow, I hope to have it on by the weekend.

Hopefully the dealer won't care when they see it, truck has to go in for the wiper motor recall, I'm having them do the fuel filter and tire rotation while they have it (I don't want to be bothered)

OBD port is getting a cover put on it that says "KEEP OUT NO WIPER MOTOR/FUEL FILTER/TIRE ROTATION INFO IN HERE"

Should be intresting to see what that gets me

Just pull the silencer out and put a drop in. Unless your going all out and building big horsepower the stock setup will work fine. Than you can spend your money on other power upgrades.
