Default Looking for CAI

Gotta bone stock 3500 and have been reading about oiled vs dry CAI. Downside of oiled is oil can get on MAF, upside appears to be it filters better than dry. I'd really like to stay with dry but if the filtering is worse that has to matter. Can you all let me know what you're running, how you like it, what kind of mileage impact it had and if it introduce new codes to your truck. Thanks

As far as oiled goes, I have a K&N cai. It didnt really seem to help with my mpg, until I put the exhaust on also. Also I have read that there is no actual proof that the oil hurts anything. I think that manufacutrors, will slander any product to make theres look better.

I'm running the S&B on mine and have been very happy with it. I saw maybe 1 mpg or so increase with the CAI alone.(kinda hard to tell since my right foot is a bit heavier than my left. ) One big plus, is that it's much cheaper to keep it clean than it is to replace your factory element. I haven't had any codes whatsoever that were a result of the CAI being installed. I've also been very impressed with S&B's customer service.
There are several good choices on the market now for our 6.7s.

I'm using the the AFE dryfilter on their stage 2 kit on both trucks and they perform just as well as the oil filter I had on the 97 before switching it out because where I live, the oil caught all kinds of crap from the dirt road I lived on and I ended up cleaning the filter quite periodically.
