Default deleted egr today (finally)

big thanks to chris (Cbrahs) at hdr diesel for the delete kit
finally deleted my egr today was easier than i thought

Is there multiple stages to deleting the egr? Or is that the most complete one?

Thats the easiest way to do it. But you can go as far as deleting the EGR cooler as well with certain kits.

yes you can delete the egr cooler not sure what it actually does but im sure some one else will chime in

I am being told to leave the cooler in place. once it is blocked off with our kit, there is really no need to remove the cooler. A little birdy told me that removing the cooler is causing problems (or part of the problem) with temps getting too hot and people not burping the system correctly and BOOM! there goes a headgasket

I see. So since this delete comes with a tapped hole for a boost gauge, will my edge still read boost or did it get a boost reading from the EGR or something?

your edge should still read boost buy if you ever went to mech guages you have a spot to put the boost probe

Ive heard things about EGR deletes not working with BADP exhaust systems. Anyone else heard of this?
