i just ordered my 5 inch dpf kit today and i have a few questions one is i got it off rollinsmokediesel and it says that you have to send a waver for it to be ordered and i was wondering if you really have to do that and second i don't have a programmer yet so im wondering if everything will be ok i know the cel will come on but if its nothen major im not gonna worry about it for now i will be putting a programmer on in a few months .

you might have to actually sign it because the dpf deletes are for "racing and off road use only." so the waiver basically states that you know its illegal and if you get caught you can in no way blame the supplier for selling it to you or not telling you it was illegal.

you should be fine to run it without a programmer but a dpf-r or h&s dpf delete module might help. also H&S just came out with a new programmer called the xrt...basically from what I've heard its Badass! no wait to start no codes has dpf and egr on/off settings...and a kick in the pants as far as HP. i think +225 rwhp is the top.

They won't sell it to you without signing the waiver - only because it's intended for off-road use only. The new H&S fooler box might clear your CEL, not sure on the '08's. James at RSD will probably work you a deal on a programmer if you buy it with the delete. I'm running an edge and I can't see how I lived without it.

our new DPF electronics are CODE FREE. Just released 2 weeks ago. Code free even without a programmer so if you get an edge with attitude, you would set it to NOT clear codes on start up.

You will love it. I should have gotten the 5" but oh well, I'm still satisfied. I installed mine by myself in about 2 hrs. The hardest part was the the clamp at the turbo flange. Air wrenches are a life saver.
