Chris,
Do you know what happened to the 68RFE tranny? Did the selenides got stock, fried, or ...... ? I assume there is a way to control the oil pressure in there. Those transmissions are very expensive.
If it is that way, then we got to stay below number 5 setting, or just use the fuel saver. Ah-huh, Yes, I sure can control myself!

you would want to stay no larger than level 3 with a stock tranny. The tranny they fried in the alpha testing, they fragged the converter. Goerend is building them a triple disc for it. the line pressure inside these tranny's are controlled by the converter, pump and valve body (47 and 48re tranny). I am not sure on the new 68rfe. The new ones might be similar to the Alison, they are controlled electronically.

As far as I understand it the 68RFE transmission has a limit of input torque and going over that limit can severly reduce the transmissions life. Also since it has adaptive learn, any power mods take the adaptive learn out of its paramaters and the transmission pattern can never be learned properly and will severly shorten the life of the transmission, causes numerous trouble codes and engine output problems. NO PROGRAMMER, or mod currently adresses the problems with extra power and transmission operation.

After I learned more about what is going on, I wish I wouldn't have bought my first Automatic Transmission. This is my first and last automatic transmission!!!

So, those of you who got the 6.7 with standard trany, go ahead and enjoy the Smarty.
