Default Is the smarty my best choice here?

Hello Folks,
Ok, this is a truck my wife drives/tows 37' two slide bumper pull trailer for travel nursing. She is an ER trauma specialist w/BSN, when you tear yourself up doing something stupid or shoot your leg/foot cleaning your gun this is the chic you want to be putting you back together and making you stable. She is a pretty smart girl with good common sense.
So knowing this, its our STOCK engine 2012 4x4 Mega Cab Laramie Long Horn High Output with 68RFE 70,000 miles. This truck is rarely at the house as it stays at the location she is except for when she comes to visit on long weekends off. So I dont plan on deleting anything, when she is home as I stay pretty busy with the business and such so I spend time with her not the truck.
This truck has plenty of POWER!!! Problem is the MPG is not good, maybe almost 15-ish on HWY unloaded but 14 is more realistic. It does have 34" tire and 3.73 gear with a 4" Rancho system under it. Really we are just looking to increase the MPG (unloaded) a bit without any mods to the truck. The smarty seems easy to use as it just plugs into the diag port for programming and I am confident she could make changes if needed.
Am I on the right track here? Open to suggestions. Looking to pull the trigger in a couple-ish months or sooner. Just looking for the best simple-easy way for her.
Also looking for an EGT gauge that would be plug and play into the existing wire harness or diag port.

How do you like the RaceMe tuner? I have a 2009 Cummings and I'm looking for a tuner.

It seems really nice. I still have the DPF pipe installed so I only ran it to town and back on the 80HP tune and its much more responsive with a lot more acceleration. I will be doing the DPF delete soon and then will be able to electronically delete the EGR and DFP. Even after hot rodding a bit to and from town the MPG went up 0.4 points, this would have never happened before.
I returned it to stock until I delete the DFP.

Thanks for the feed back. I'm really thinking that this is the tuner I'm going to purchase to. Keep us updated with how it's working and likes/dislikes. Thanks
