Default better manifold and turbo option for my 12 6.7

I've seen the stainless diesel manifolds and steed speeds but i have grown to love my exhaust brake and would like to keep that in working order. I am wondering if any of you guys are running an aftermarket manifold and aftermarket vgt turbo that flows much better than stock and has a much more reasonable drive psi ratio. Am i limited to a 2nd gen swap and a sb66?

You can run a 3rd gen 5.9 a setup no problem. That's what I'm running bd 2pc and sb66. I thought about 2nd gen but seemed like more work for what you gain. I have read the he451ve is a good upgrade and supposedly the factory electronics will control them. But not to the 100% potential. Now this is what I read not what I have done.
