Default Mini Maxx Won't Power Up

So, I installed my mini maxx yesterday and everything worked great.............until I decided I wanted to adjust my timing up a little bit. During the update process, I pulled a bonehead move and bumped the HDMI cable and it pulled out just far enough to shut the mini maxx off. I plugged it back in and it went into recovery mode. I tried to load the recovery tune onto the truck but it kept stopping at "writing engine..stock preparing download configuring vehicle do not unplug". I let it sit there for 45mins and still the same screen. I thought that maybe I damaged the HDMI cable so I swapped the one I was using out for another one. When I plugged the other one in, the mini maxx would not power on. This is when I found the fuse on the OBDII block was blown. I replaced the fuse and the mini maxx still wont power on. I swapped HDMI cables back and it still wont power up. I also, tried switching it to keyed power via and back to battery power. I verified that I have power at the OBDII plug also. I brought the mini maxx in and plugged a USB cable into the tuner and it powers on. I did find that if I plug the USB cable into the OBDII block and plug the 2nd cable into the block, my computer will throw and error code for a power surge on one of my USB ports but it will not do this with the original cable I was using. So, I am kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment.
