If its a 2010 or newer there's recalls on the death wobble problem. Apparantly the bushings in the trackbar and tierods were too soft.

I disagree with that comment that alignment does not cause death wobble cuz thats the only thing i did to mine and it has never came back. I did eventually put a better dampener on the front end and that just made it drive that much smoother. Im not saying thats with every case but it was with mine

the track bar has to be tightened to 250 foot pounds, if it was left loose at all it can cause death wobble, also what year is your truck you might be eligible for a recall on your TREs.

The dealer also recommends running 60 lbs of air in the tires..they told me that would help...but I learned that after spending 1100 dollars on tie rods and pit arms

i believe it is a inherant design flaw using a straight front axle with coil springs, my 2003 gave me hell with the death wobble, I too noticed it after a lift kit install, and wider tires. I replaced everything new on the suspension trying to get rid of it. I purchased every after market add on or upgrade to stiffen the front suspension and gear box made. too just have it do it time and time again, I will say the life time ball joints was the best investment of all the addons, i bought the carli suspension ball joints. 135,000 miles on them and they are still just as tight. after taking a job that requires considerable driving I opted for a differant lift kit, one that would give this old mans tired bones a smoother ride and bought the softest ride possible from Carli suspension and guess what. no death wobble any more. i have driven over the same bridges that would initiate the wobble every time at 55 with the old lift kit now at speeds from 55 to 105 and no wobble with the softer ride kit. I have had this kit now for 80,000 miles and no wobble. I am no engineer but i think it was the coil springs that made the differance for me and the softer sway bar that fixed it. Finally

The boys at dodge did the "upgrade kit" instead of a recall on anything before a 2010 or 2011. The tie rods and cross members are huge in comparison with the oem. No more tapered nut on the cross member, much easier to install. The bushings are much stiffer and huge compared to stock. It's like driving a lumber truck alright but a new lumber truck that goes where you point it and doesn't throw everything out of bed of the truck when it gets to shaking. does anybody know of somebody offering aftermarket bushings for the track bar for the 2008's? dodge says, no bushings only track bar with bushings installed? do the 2002 bushings fit the 2008 track bar, seems that's where MOOG stops.

there is a kit issued from dealer, the tie rods and cross members are half again as big in diameter than the stock on 2007 thru current issue. Apparently it's an upgrade for most of us and only a recall on a couple of years. The kit is about $560. The kit, new moog bushings in the track bar and a stearing box stabilizer and a new stabilizer shock and my wobble went away. I only run 285/75/17's, and the truck is a 2008. Apparently according to the dealer this vehicle is a candidate for an "upgrade kit" and no recall exhists?
