Those are some great MPG's for sure. My 2007.5 got better mpg's than my 2011 does by far but still nothing like what your talking about. Mine are both stock although the 2007.5 is gone. The 2011 gets 10 to10.5 empty or towing, doen't seam to make any difference. I'm towing a fifth wheel weighing about 10'000 lbs, same trailer with both trucks. The 2007.5 would get 17 to 18 mpg empty and about 12.5 towing all hand calculated. I am really disapointed in the 2011 for mpg but other than that it's a great truck to drive and tow with.

Default hmmmmm?

West slope of colorado over the divide to Denver, hot day, 400 miles filled up with 17.5, that's 22.8 mpg. EGR and DPF deletes, 6in pipe, Black Maxx, 285- 17 tires heavy on the nitrogen, K&N intake, Amzoil, and prayer. no load, just toolbox and luggage.
Dually doing more than that? hmmmmm? I'm a seer and believer, but I wouldn't trust the overhead for the direction and temp let alone fuel mileage.

Almost 25 not pulling, stock tires @ 80 all around, completely deleted, single wheel, driving solo. I also kept it under 70 the whole time and used CC; doing great until I hit that damned GA construction traffic With being a DD 18-20 is my usual average; even using the overhead I saw averages go up by 4-5 after the deletes. Hard to hand calculate right now because of the way our tanks our vented and can never get an acurate measure of how much I put in; putting in a GDP vent kit this summer to remedy that.

Personally, with my driving style, I might be lucky to see 15 out of a dually if I owned one (right foot likes to play too much).

2500 4x4 50,000 automatic with deletes, I have extra 60 gal tank in the bed. I made a road trip pulled 32ft travel trailer for about 125 miles, then traveled another 1200 miles,in and out of town to work etc, hand calculated got 18.2 MPG avg. I would say not too bad..

I was lucky to get 21 in my 08 stroker 4X4, that number does seem a little high for a dually 4X4...just sayin...
