Default Turbo whistle gone

I put an Icebox intake on my truck last year and I have been enjoying my turbo whistle ever since until yesterday. After driving about 30 miles at 90 mph my whistle is gone. I haven't noticed any difference in power and I can still barely hear it spooling up but it just sounds like a normal truck. What makes it go away like that? I checked the hoses and clamps and junk and everything seems tight still. Is this a serious problem? How the heck do I fix this??

Thanks. It's a little dirty. I'll blow it out with the compressor and see if that does it.

I believe its an amsoil dry filter. I did find a little piece of rubber stuck to the outside it yesterday when i was looking around. I didn't have time to mess with it yesterday. What kind of bath do you recommend coors man? Should I take in the hot tub or bring it in the shower with me??

Dawn dish soap and a soft bristle brush will do wonders, or a new filter. Wouldn't hurt to check intercooler boots too I guess.

I'm giving it a bath right now! I checked the boots and they seemed tight to me. After driving around town today I can now tell a loss in power. I wish I knew more about this but I guess I will have to learn as I go.
