So does the 6.7s get that hot, or do they typically run cooler than 5.9s? Since they have higher compression (about the same for HO 5.9s) and more displacement, I would think they would run a little hotter. Is that correct? Or am I pulling this outta my ?

Okay did some research. Higher compression does run hotter. So if he was at 1250 on egt, is there a likely chance I was running hotter than that?

I've seen 1600 egt in a drag race 5-6 seconds that high is not going to hurt anything. Thats the temp of the exhaust going by the probe the metal is not going to heat up that high that fast. Now if your pulling a heavy load I would stay under 1200 anything over that for long periods can cause damage.

It's probably the new injection timing from the tune.

I got the same stuff for mine but went with the 4 inch instead of stacks.... I hear the engine more and stuff like that also the pyro doesn't read good so just ignore it and turn the defuel off for that.... Only trust the manual egt gadge .... Btw did u buy from mkm....
