Default 6.7 cummins turbo question

my 2010 is overheating with a load. If I dive light footed with no trailer no problem. acts like a headgausket is going bad. Pushes antifreeze out of the over flow and air locks the cooling system.
EGR cooler is deleted , like I said it seems like a head gausket just starting to act up. Dealer said they have never replaced a head gausket. Thought mabey a turbo problem.

I know coolent does go to the turbo, but can that cause a problem like I am seeing?? Any way to test??

I really do think it is the head gausket. Just want to make sure the turbo cant cause the problem. I dont know anything about the turbo on the 6.7

i never saw a issue with the turbo like that. several cases with head gasket. when i done mine we had .012 taken off the head to make it flat.

I know my truck got perty hot twice. What did your engine do. I am hoping I don't have head problems. I can drive my truck like normal if I keep my boost low. If I hook a traliler on and hit 30 psi, I am done.

Few more questions, Where can I get a repair manual for the 6.7 cummins?

Should a guy go with the factory head gausket. I know a guy that says he uses the stock cummins head gausket in his pulling truck with a 5.9 and it is easily in the 11 to 1200 hp range.

If not the factory gausket which one, where do I get it, why is it better?

Why did the gausket go bad in the first place. I pull heavy but no sled pulls or raceing. I had a really weak H&S tune my exaust temps never got above 1100 post turbo. And my truck was a dog compared to a ffew other guys trucks. Boost never went above 32.
I am wondering if I should put on a external wastgate like industrial injection has, to reduce drive pressure

i know a guy that was still blowing them with an ewg he said he really didnt think it helped the 5.9 is different then the 6.7 the beteenn the higher cylinder pressures and drive pressure and i think there is a couple water jackets closer to the cylinder but anyways the 5.9s hold better i would go with studs and an aftermarket gasket i went through 3 factory gaskets and now i run whats in my sig

It sounds like a headgasket to me also ,and if I had it apart anyway I would not put a stock gasket back in it Lazarsmiths Vulcan are the way to go they are designed for the 6.7 ,but they can be used on other cummins engines also. Also, while I had it apart I'd 625 stud it no sense in buying twice anyhow just my .02
