Default clutch is going south

it sure dosen't take much to fry the stock clutch. I was looking at getting bigger nozzles or upgraded turbo. But now I get to buy a clutch With what few mods I have, I sure never thought the clutch would be slipping allready. It's not to bad yet, but if i romp on it very hard..it slips 39,000 mile on truck is all I have. When I bought this pickup it said the manual trans. trucks had 30hp less the the same pickup with a auto trans. If Dodge knew the clutch was weak. Why didn't they put in a better clutch, instead of de-rate the engine?? I wonder what the HP rating is on the stock clutch, I doubt if I'm making much over 375hp I'm 50+ yrs old, I haven't done anything stuipid or abused the clutch pos

how are the auto trans holding up with mods done? I see on here, alot of people saying get Gauges if you upgrade...I think if u have manual trans... it should be.. get a diffrent Cultch before upgrades

with the g-56 that is true. my 08 is auto. every tuner i sell somebody with a g-56 tranny gets warned about the clutch. after you upgrade the clutch they do a good job.

ya maybe i got greedy the smarty said don't go over 90hp setting with stock clutch..i ran 130hp setting, clutch started slipping & turbo made all kinds of bad noises at 34psi boost. do these stock turbos have a wastegate of sorts? thats the noise it sounds like, and it sounds like the vanes are hammering closed. I set it back to 90hp the bad sounds have gone away but the clutch still slips

coors man, i think your on to something. it probaly was my clutch making all the racket, not the turbo. I've never owned anything before that would smoke the clutch in 4th gear Can u answer a ?? for me.. what is the highest safe psi that the turbo(stock) in my pickup can make....I don't have real gauges..just the Edge W/A is says I'm making 34psi do's that sound right?
