Default 07 CUMMINS EXHAUST QUESTIONS

I just recently purchased a half exhaust for my truck that goes from the DPF back. Its MBRP brand and i also purchased the Edge Juice with Att. programmer. Im new to all this aftermarket stuff and i didnt realize the exhaust isnt gonna do me much good with the DPF and Cat still on the truck. I been looking around and found the delete pipes you can install to remove the dpf and cat. my question is how common is this on the newer model trucks bc it says on the website its a race only product?? and also if i purchased the delete pipe can i use the edge programmer to tune it?

Had this stuff for bout 3 weeks now and dyeing to install so please fill me in on what i should do?

You have to have the race version of the edge to delete the dpf.

i think its edge juice with att. race im pretty sure. see if u can return it or sell it and get u a smarty. i had the edge to begin with smarty is the way to go. you can do sims and shut the regen off but you will have cel but there is a way to do it code free and run your edge with delete pipe if you would like

Default DPF delete

Just moved from communist state of Washington in the Puget sound region to Colorado where I grew up. NO emissions testing, no dense traffic to negotiate daily, and no high fuel costs. I am going with my old Boss's recommendation, (NDRHA champ Bill Fletcher) and doubled the mileage, WOOO WOOO horse power, unbelievable increase towing ability, and overall smoother operation. Never had turbo problems, only twice did EGR regeneration light come on and letting the truck sit and idle or taking it out for a long run cleaned it out. Getting rid of the cat, putting on the tuner, and swapping suspension components the best thing I ever did to my 08.

the reason i bought the edge was because i read some stuff saying it was the best programmer to go with if all your stuff was stock which it is. so how much does the delete pipe really help with fuel milage anyway?

delete pipe will still bring the truck alive and make you and the truck extremely happy all you really need to do is just get the egr and the dpf off you dont have to run a turbo back system although it does help a little more

looking for some good sources information on dodge mods, other than this and a couple other chat sites, anybody got good suggestions. I'm mechanical, shop machinst, carpenter, electrician, but never been a motorhead. swapped out carburetors is about as far as my motorhead ability has taken me and putting on accessories. looking for more info without all the BS.
