Mine works great. I have pulled about 11,000lbs. behind it and you dont even need to tap the brakes until about 20 feet of your stop or so. Very good holding back on grades too.

I really like the Ex brake when towing, it really shines in the hills. I think it helps clear some soot or something out of the turbo as the (unreliable) overhead almost always goes up a 10th after using the brake.

It's AWESOME I use it all the time. Should run with it on to help with EGT's and reduce Regen mode. In town I don't use brakes as much and with my Cold Air Intake when I let off the gas the EB kicks in and the turbo spools up with a nice whistle. It's AWESOME

I pull over 15k 3-4 days a week, and for me the way the e/brake and trans work together is worth the price of the entire truck. It is bone stock and will outpull any Dodge I have owned (have had 10 Cummins Dodge's over the years, all have had mods, cam/turbo/fuel etc on the 01 I had). I love this 08 truck. I hauled with an 08 dmax this last week and was really glad I bought the Dodge.

I've had my '07 6.7 since January of this year. It now has 33,000+ kms on it, more than half of those pulling our 28' travel trailer and carrying an additional 1000 lbs. in the box. The engine brake and the trans in Tow Haul will slow her all down to about 25 to 30 kms with out touching the brake pedal. I've towed several travel trailers many 100s of thousands of kms with several different trucks and Jeeps, this Dodge is the best tow vehicle that i've ever owned.

I have had problems with mine. I have 15,338 miles on my truck, and the exhaust brake goes in and out on its own. I took it to the stealership and they told me they could not duplicate the problem. WTF. It cuts out a few times between 2500 and 1300 rpm, and makes a wastegate sound when it shuts off. It shuts off all together at 1300 RPM.
