Default Confused with my new 6.7 2011

What tranny is in mine? Its the six speed auto??? I am going to delete the dpf crap and run the h &s programer and the trans program. with the 175 tune. Is this a good combo for the 6.7 and what else should i do for the trans if im gonna beat on her at times. Also was going to do the egr delete and there boost tube and trying to find a good cold air intake. any advice would be greatly helpful. This truck runs good and have had no codes or issues with it since new but its pretty fresh yet. Also should i run a air dog or do i not need that. I have been told with the new system its not need for what im gonna do as in mods. Lets see what you guys have to say. Gonna be doing this soon like in the week.

the 2500/3500 have the 68re and the cab chassis have the asian trans. the asian is a better trans. for your 2500 i would run an h&s tuner, 5inch pipe, egr/cooler delete, s&b cold air intake and for the trans i would buy h&s tranny tune. look at rollin smoke diesel talk to james he will set you guys up and answer any ? you might have.

H&S Mini Maxx, DPF and EGR delete, MBRP 4 inch turbo back exhaust, 5in only changes the sound but if thats what u want then get it, I run AFE intakes in both my cummins, better filters, more air. Running an Airdog or FASS is good on any diesel. Better filtration and a water/seperator is always nice to have. They are not a first purchase item like they are for the 2nd gen 24vs. If you are planning on going big on hp, an aftermarket lift pump is always a good insurance policy because the stock system wont last long. If your just going to run the tuner, you should be ok with your stock system for awhile. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks everyone i thought i had the 68re but didnt know for sure. But it seems to be better then the older autos but i guess h&s will be the programer but i am told to just do the dpf delete with the exhaust but not the egr delete since i can turn it off but why not delete it if its not being used. And i was going to do a air dog so i had all that in my 04 just hope to see a 6.7 roll some coal finally. a diesel with a pipe cleaner then a gas engine just is not right

You can go tO ram trucks.com and request for a build sheet. They need the last 8 of your VIN and Dodge will get back by email. Everything u want to know about your truck.

If you put a H&S and delete on your truck you need to delete the egr and install a external wastgate.
Truth is the egr kind of doubles as a wastgate. You add more boost pressure you get so much back pressure because of the VGT turbo. You can blow your head gasket like I did.

Learn from my mistake and do it right.

If your looking for a H&S boost tube and intake maniold, I have those parts for sale. Just send me a pm if interested

I ordered a 2012 HO with Max Tow package, going to keep this one stock. I won't stay stock for long if I have all these parts on hand
