Default Considering New 2011 Dodge 3500

Based on reliability of Cummins engines and service I have had from Dodge since my first in 1970 I am looking at the D3500 as I need the pulling power. Does warranty have to be out before mods, what about extended warranty? Good choice or back off to D2500 and Hemi??

I can't recomend mods if you want to keep your warranty. Some dealers care some don't. Myself I did the mods and don't care about the warranty. I have been driving dodge diesel's for 11 years and I have had 0 engine issues. I did replace 1 transmission in my 06 but 20 1500 pound hay bales on a 36 foot flat bed with twin turbos pushing 60 pounds of boost was a little more then the tranny could take. I would have been past warranty mile wise when that happened anyways.

I love my 2010 with the mods truck runs great, I have just over 19,000 on it now.

I don't know if ya know cummins is coming out with a HO with 800 tq production was to begin april 1st. I would go with that

like said above if your worried about warranty dont do many mods before you talk to your dealer and see what they will allow and then stick with that one dealer i travel for work and my dealer in oklahoma said do 5 inch and an edge and leave it that way when u come in i was in florida and they flagged my truck and extened waranty and warranty gone my dealer in ok said put it all back stock and they would try to get the flag lifted and i did then the district mgr said they arent giving any warantys back at that time so i would buy the truck and no extened waranty and buy just the delete pipe and sims to shut regen off the delete pipe is ez to put back stock if you ever need and not traceable just my thought good choice and good luck on the truck

i looked at the 2011 cab and chassis then run that stupid aditive.can u still delete the additive stuff cause they say with out it it wont run.if u let it run out the first run it will not go over 60.if u turn it off and restart it it want go over 40.the third time u start it it wont go over 10.then if u turn it off it wont start at all u have to take it to the dealer.so i decided to put a clutch in my 08 and drive like its a 2011.

ya you can delete it im pretty sure but i dont beleive the whole speed thing and not starting all i have heard is going into limp mode maybe not over 60 but just a guess cause if was on the interstate running 10 mph dont think that would be very safe and if you got a$$ ended you could go back and get dodge for it im sure
