Default 09 trailer brake control

looking for info on a plug and play electric trailer brake controller for my 09 ,went to dealer today for a plug for under dash and was told they don't make them and I can't install an electric brake controller on the truck how did you guys wire them in same as the pre-plug equipped truck? spliced in?

I think they are full of crap because my dad put one in his 08 with no problems, went to the local trailer place bought a controller and a plug n play wiring harness for it

they said this started in 09 and 10 models ,11's come with a factory brake controllers with tow package

Run away from that dealer fast under the dash by the brake pedal and e brake there's a big white junction block and just above that there's a blue plug in with 4 pins in it. That's where the brake controller plugs into...

thanks guys will take a look under the dash to make sure it is there and get back to you,worst part about this dealer is they are the better out of the two local ones the parts guy I am dealing with just bought a 09 and said he needed to figure this out for himself too

went to town this afternoon and into a aftermarket acc. shop and bought the plug and a new brake controller now just have to mount the bracket and plug it in,still have ton figure out where to put the rails in the box,directly over the axle or ahead by how much
