looking at 6.7s
I'm thinking I want a 6.7. I've looked at a few, what do I need to look for? I want a 2wd, 6speed, qc. Seems like most have had a head gasket. Maybe I should just stick with the12v...

I would take the VIN to a Dodge Dealer and see how many times it's been in for repair. If there's no record of it, chances are it's a good truck. If it's been in several times, I would second guess picking that truck.
Just a question, but why do you want a 2wd? 4wd have a little better re-sale value and they only cost you 1-2 MPG.
A lot of 6.7's out there have had problems. There's even more that you don't hear about that have been a perfect running vehicle. Why would you get on a forum to complain about a truck that works perfect? Just something to throw out there so you don't get "jaded" on the 6.7 just cause you see lots of problems with them on forums. 5.9's had issues, and the first year Fords & GM's had issues as well.
I have a 2010 with 12k miles with no issues to date. (Knock on wood.) I believe they have the programming figured out for the most part that has gotten rid of most of the issues.

i have an 08 fully deleted and quite a little mods it runs great ya iv had a couple problems here and there but i cant blame the truck its my fault depends on how you drive them if you leave them stock or do what most of us shoot for the factory equipment can only hold so much hp,tq boost then somthings gonna givesome where theres nothing wrong with the 6.7 its been around longer then what most people think just not in trucks
