Stock transmission are junk 150K miles is actually good if the trucks have been work. Especially running the added power of the Edge.

This is the reason why I don't want anything other than a 6spd Manual.

Now that Im getting depressed. My truck has 120k on it and it pulls a 15k trailer alot. Dont want a manual. Debating options do I have the stock rebuilt by Gorend, drop another stock tranny in or see if I can get an Allison to fit and work like the 68RFE? I like the tow/haul mode of the stock and would like to keep that. If Allison or Fuller have transmissions that can do the same well lets face it they are bullet proof and maybe worth the extra bucks. Any input will be a big help. Money is tight and I would like to know what Im looking at before it happens.
