Default do i need the air temp sensor?

i have a 2008 dodge 3500 dually with a egr and dpf delete, 5 in turbo back single smoke stack, 2.5 leveling kit, authority all terrain tires, electronic brake controller, hide away gooseneck ball, and a cold air and tuner soon to come but im trying to make a homemade cold air intake by putting an open body duralite airfilter on my stock intake tube but i can only find an adapter for my maf but not my ait...so do i need the ait and if so what can i do to reincorporate it into the system? is there a sensor fooler available? thanks in advance for all the help in kinda new to the cummins

If you can find a way to plumb it into the system you'll be fine. IIRC the ECM uses data from this sensor to control the engine, so a fooler isn't what you'll want to use.
