Default Blown Tranny!! What to do??

Blew the tranny in my 08 Mega...

Suggestions? Rebuild the stocker, or aftermarket?

If aftermarket, which one? Serious time issues here, as I am losing money fast as this is a work truck, so I cant spend weeks making a decision.

Thanks in advance.

117,000kms...Not many compared to any other truck I have owned. I do however pull heavy and almost daily. Its a work truck, definitly not a grocery getter.

Warranty ran out at 100,000kms of course...but get this, if I rebuild the stock, 1yr unlimited miles warranty. So my question, why wouldnt the truck come with unlimited mileage warranty on the tranny LOL

if you have the knowhow and the place to do it he will ship you everything you need to do the swap. you can buy the parts and do it yourself or you can buy a complete bolt in tranny and do the swap yourself.

A few pics of what Im pulling and where...about a foot to 2 feet of snow.

32' Tandem dual hauling a S250 Bobcat, some attachments and pile pipe. Shouldnt be a big deal, less than half the weight of what I normally haul.

Stock? probably not a bad idea since you dont keep trucks very long. On the other hand, its a work truck so why put yourself in this situation again? Plus, its a writeoff as well - so spend some $$$$$

Brad, Mel at Excel Transmission in Red Deer is supposed to be pretty good. He has installed Goerend parts as well.
