09 Cummins 6.7L ***ENGINE LIGHT****

Took it to the dealership today and they reassured me that the 09 fixes usually work after one time. Is this true? Dealership said they would pull the turbo and thoroughly clean it and wrap the sensors with "Heat Wrap"? Hopefully this will not be a continuous problem! He said that 07 were really bad 08's were a little better and 09's are even a little better. Feel free to add your two cents. Also, is there a way to tell how clogged up it is? I don't even let this truck sit and idle. I remember when I first purchased the truck that the owners manual warned of prolonged idling. This didn't make sense to me, since I'm used to letting my diesel run all day if I want to.

***UPDATE***. Got my truck back yesterday. Codes cleared! Check Engine light off! They pulled and cleaned the turbo. New EGR and heat wrapped the exhaust. One thing I noticed though. NEW THROTTLE ASSEMBLY? WTF? I'm not complaining, but could this just be a recall? I don't know why they put it on and it also wasn't on the dealer checklist of work completed. Any ideas?
