Default Weird Smarty POD reaction today..

So my truck hasnt changed any, and some time ago I went with the Smarty Download for the Power On Demand option cause SW5 was killing my stock clutch and SW3 was too boring.

So I back down my SW5 to 75% with every Revo at 2 minus VGT at 4.

Well the other day I was getting bored with 75% and I have a SB Dual on the way so I went back to 99% on SW5.

Now, I have had the truck on 75% for some time, a couple of months and when I went back to 99% the truck ran fine. I got to an open stretch and dropped the hammer in 4th and she pulled like normal till around 2-2200 and it acted like it hit a brick wall with the power and didnt want to pull anymore...and started rolling some descent smoke...which is rare for the smarty espec at 5.

It never did any of this when I ran it for months on SW5 with out POD, and now it does the same at 80-85-90-99%. It starts hesitating and sounding a tad weird like its strugglin to pull thru 3,000. And its not clutch related, it acts like it has way less torque and the clutch aint even trying to slip, like it use to on SW at 100%

Could it be choked up with soot, could something be wrong? It pulls hard and crazy like usual all the way up till 2-2200, then starts smoking hard and sounds like it wants to shoot something out the stacks thats holding her back???? EGTs seem ok, around 1-1100 at WOT while she it trying to pull, and it does make it to 3,000 but no way like she use to.

Completly weird and random...any ideas????

You need an airdog 150 because your stocky lift pump cant keep up with that much flow or your lift pump is dieing. But change the fuel filter and go from there!
