Can a program be hacked or cracked - you bet. Only a matter of time. For me it would be about reliability and economy. Power is so much better than a gasser anyway so I won't need more for a while.

Also looking at for from a right off / taxation point of view - can't do that with an older truck.

Well, I just drove a 2010 6.7L with the Getrag 6 speed. It was a crew LWB 3500 - all I can say is wow. I had it for 45 minutes and it averaged 14L/100km which isn't great but given that I didn't really take it anywhere I can't really assume it would be much better.

The onboard exhaust brake is really cool, even empty the truck slowed to 30km/h from 60km/h in 5th gear just by letting off the skinny pedal. The interior is nice enough but I was in a ST with upgraded cloth seats.

Throw leather, heated seats, nav and some real overload springs in the back and it would be a great truck in my opinion.

I stomped on it many times and could not even a small puff out the back. Big difference compared to my freight train.

ya. we got a big toy hauler and we take it to races every weekend. i drive an 04' 3500 5.9 and it doesnt have a problem.but you messed up with a 6.7. i would stick with a 5.9. get a dpf delete and a programmer for the 6.7. then it might stack up with the 5.9

id order a cummins. and throw it in the lariat. then itd be perfect.besides the fact its still a ford.ha

I pulled a 25 ft gooseneck from WV to La about 2400 miles loaded both ways, 15000lbs and never had a problem, it pulled great.
