Severe duty, go with 75w-140, light to medium duty, go with 75w-90

As far as the brand, Royal Purple is good, also got Amsoil and Valvoline.

Yep, everything is synthetic on the diffs and have been for a while. 75/90 is what's called for. The 110 or 140 if really pushing it. I thought Ford was requiring 75/140 now on the late models as they were losing rear ends on the 90...or have they fixed this issue??

Does the differentials oil need to be changed like the dealer said at 15 to 20,000 miles? Useing syn they should not need it that often in my opinion.

It is a good idea to change it out between 5-10 actually. It gets the initial wear metals out. Then once you changed that, you're good for quite a while. With ours it's 50-100k depending on use(typically 50)
