that was great another way some of us 6.7 guys can get dodge a lawyer contacted me and wanted to know how many times i had been in the shop he got all of my info and about 3 months later i got a check for $5400.00 so as far as im concerned stick it to dodge any way you can i had been into the shop for 18 times and got paid to make my truck run right

Don't kill the Ford guy for posting in here, but that is 1 damm good story. For ALL vehicle owners. First big brother now this? For a brake job? It's her truck. And no brand bashing from me but every single one of us truck owners has probably built a better truck for ourselves then the factory could/ would.

got the money for all of the trouble with the emissions problems with the 6.7. you have to had been in the shop for 10 or more times with an emissions related prob pass the word on and tell them to contact me and i can get them in touch with the att.

 

Gotta love my dealership. I tell em, No flash. And they actually listen

 

Mine has been in four time's. I am going to take it back again, The MPG is just I get11mpg with no trailer and a empty truck. I don't under stand.

 

Great way to make dodge notice. First dodge and last. $65K for a piece of junk. I have had more problems than you can imagine. Turbo, front end, U joints, emmissions, charging system, running lights wired wrong. In Canada there is no lemon clause. We have to put up with the dealers. Please send information on how you did this. I don't even trust them to fix the truck. I do all the maintenance myself. If I had the money, I would take every Dodge part off of it I could.

 

That's correct, we don't have a lemon law but we do have the right to an assumption that the $65K paper weight will work as described and sold.

You've got a few issues by all accounts. I would however question if the "stealership" you are going to actually has a trained diesel mechanic? Most do not! When you find one you follow him around.

The turbo and emmissions junk is the only thing you can really sort out. I know my local dealership after a number of visits is actually removing the DPF but I am not certain of the EGR because they are sick and tired of the BS trying to fix them.

The rest of your problems are nothing new to any brand of truck - they all seem to be junk with respect to that sort of thing.

Now, having said that, the emmissions stuff on your ride now is a very poor design and should never have been sold that way but Cummins sold it to Dodge. The difference here is that Cummins bench and world tests their product at 80% throttle all day. HARD. Dodge, well, best I can tell, doesn't so when you add in idle time, short trips, cold operating temps (due to short trips) and other "issues" like that you are going to get problems. The only solution to this is the full SCR version coming out here very shortly on the 2010 truck. This EGR, urea injection, DPF system is the same one that has been used in Europe for 11 years now and will work fine over here with ULSD and our driving habits.

Will it have great mileage like the old diesels, no, but it will not have the troubles of the DPF 6.7L trucks.
