CEL Code P2262
#2
It's possible your turbo just needs cleaned. I've had that code more than once. If your internals have a buildup of soot it can cause the turbo to stick and not make boost, which in turn throws the code. Depending on your build date, you may already have the cleanout port on yours. If not, the dealer will drill and tap your housing for a cleanout port. I had mine cleaned recently, along with the EGR cooler, and it made a big difference in the way it runs. Mine wasn't running bad, it just felt a bit down on power. If it weren't for the eco *****, we wouldn't have DPFs or EGR systems and in turn wouldn't have this problem.
Worse case scenario, you get a new turbo...and hopefully it's problem solved.
Something else I thought of that you may or may not be aware of... run your exhaust brake whether you're towing or not, don't let it idle for long periods of time, and if you do have to idle it, turn the high idle on. It's not a cure, but it will help with the soot buildup. On occasion, I will take mine out and run it in 5th gear around 2000 RPMs down the highway for 25-30 minutes. That will help keep the DPF clean, and the 30 minute time frame will complete a regen cycle if one has started and hasn't been allowed to finish. It's less of a pain than going to the dealer and having them force it.

You're welcome.. Another thing to check...make sure the G-30 recall has been done on your truck. It involves replacing the oxygen sensor module.
Oxygen sensor wrap? That's a new one to me. The "extra heat" for your regen cycle is generated by extra fuel being injected, which is why your mileage takes a dump when you go into regen.
