go with the 8.5" long arm kit by topguncustomz.com installing one now and it is a very nice kit. The front coils are a little over 1" thick but all over a nice thought out kit

I'm really sorry about your truck bub, but it's half-assed trailering like this that gets people hurt or killed. Just ask BUSTA:https://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel...ers-busta.html
He is very lucky they didn't ticket him etc for this. Law requires a vehicle being towed to have 4 points and a winch or come-a-long doesn't count. I would bet getting insurance to cover it will be fun too as it was being towed not driven the person towing the rig is responsible for this. It was also do to his negligence so there is a chance they will not pay. It really does suck. I go through this with my dad when towing a car. No all 4 straps keeps it safe... but it only really needs one front and back is what he says. But I just keep putting them on and we happend to get pulled over that day and the chp was glad to see the car was strapped down proper and no ticket for speeding...

Give your friend a dozen of these for us, and tell him he's got a several members wanting to rip him a new one....literally.

I'm sorry, but it pisses me off to the highest level of pistivity, then beyond that when people quarter or half *** for a permanent fix (especially when they're too god damn lazy to spend the extra 60 seconds to make it right to avoid the above mentioned).

OK, vent over. Sorry about the truck. Glad something didn't happen.

Sorry to hear about that. That was a very nice truck. I remember seeing it sitting beside the house almost every time I'd drive out to the lake. Hopefully your friend learned his lesson about strapping them down. He's VERY lucky nobody got hurt.
