I have a hairline crack in my transfer case. 09 3500 g56. My question for everyome is what is it made of? Isnt it an aluminum cast? If so im going to get either some brazing rods or weld it just dnt want to fire up on it with wromg type of rod. I dont know how it even cracked where it did because its towards the bottom in a no stress zone. It doesmt leak bad just enough to make it wet and greasy up under the truck. Thanks in advance

 

Not sure what its made of, but if its aluminum cast, TIG weld it.
