Hey guys,I have an 01 5.9. My dad is looking at an 08 I'm assuming its an 6.7 with 30,000 miles on it there askin 30k let me know what he should be looking for? Please!!! Anything you need to watch out for on these things? Like on mine with the 53 block or any surprises on these 3rd gens? How's the Tranny's? He'll be using it to pull a 35' camper and or 30 enclosed trailer as well? Truck is clean 1 owner. Thanks in advance Gentleman!!

hey I had my 07 mega cab dually 4x4 for about 2 years now. I love my truck and wouldnt sell it for the world. I get good mileage. I tow a 5303 john deere tractor that I would say trailer and tractor are about 20k lbs. She just wants more. Just make sure you delete your dpf. They are pretty much golden once you delete them.

I have an O8 3500 with a Black Maxx on it, went from 9 mpg to 18 around town and 20 or better open road. Death wobble tried to wreck me with just 285's on it, stiffener and moog bushings changed out and it went away. 53k on it, yes 53k runs stronger after few other mods, intake, deletes and so on, tows like a tank but ya always want more.
