Default to compound or not?

so my 2012 has egr/dpf delete, only have an intake and race me jr tuner on it. i have sitting in my garage s475/88/1.32ar turbo, billet pushrods and 110 valve springs. very tempting to get some headstuds and a stocker/s475 twin kit but will i need more fuel to run this turbo efficiently? or kick the ar down to a 1.10, new to the 6.7 so not sure on a lot of it.

You will need more fuel to really take advantage of those compound turbos.

Thats what i was thinking. Are we talking cp3? Injectors or what, dont really want to put that much money into it. If i had no kids then i would for sure.

That is to take advantage of the air, of course. You don't "need" the fuel. I ran a HX35/40 over S471 with little 65 hp injectors on my 2001 Cummins. Ran fine, ok power, great mileage, just didn't maximize its potential. It worked just fine though.

Bolt it on, run it, and add the fuel later. Don't be a tool and over fuel, potentially wreck the engine, and wish you had more air later.

Well i was thinking some 60hp dragon fly injectors. Not too much but enough to give a bit extra. Not looking for insane power just a bit extra for pulling my boat or travel trailer when i hit the mountain passes.

Understandable, a little bit can go a long way. Stock to +65's was a huge improvement on my 2001.
