Default A little black smoke

Hello
I just put a 5" turbo back on and installed a RaceME. So far it has been working great and the install went real smooth.
I had one question though. It doesn't really smoke, but it seems when it shifts into sixth gear and the rpms go low it will bog down a bit and let out a noticeable cloud of black smoke for about 3 seconds until the rpms get up to around 1500.
I have deleted the DPF but I haven't unplugged the throttle valve or the EGR. Also, I am running on SW1 with defaults on all other settings.
Anyone else seen the occasional smoke?
Thanks!

its normal you want the least smoke as possible. the reason your getting the smoke is cause the motor is actually lugging a bit. the bogging in 6th most I have deleted are manuals. but the few autos I have done do just as you described you have no worrys. just enjoy your now clean running truck.

Awesome, thanks a lot!
Do you think that if I opened up the airway pre turbo with an S&B or AFE intake that it would help clear up any of the already small amount of smoke it puts out?

Yes upgrading your intake allows more air which gives better combustion. Meaning less smoke. I have an S&B intake and like it also look into intake manifold elbows. It allows better flow of air

A good free flowing air filter and CAI kit will also help with spool-up, speed up the intake charge, and bring down EGT's. Its a win-win bro.

I have the S & B intake on mine, way less restrictive than the stock intake. Also you can hear the turbo whistle a little more.

Just an update on the small amount of black smoke that I was getting. I took my MAF out and inspected it. You could not even see the metal element in the center. It was completely caked in soot. Cleaned that up put it back in and I'm not getting any smoke anymore.
